Alien Dayscape

This is a digital oil painting done in the Vermillion VR oil painting simulator. It depicts a look out over a lake with a ridge in the background. There are vague bush and tree looking objects but it's nothing but color and shadow.

Landscapes are where I really started and even though I know they are somewhat of a cliche, I till like them. This painting is still very new to painting at this point, still learning how to use the brushes in Vermillion. Still mostly playing here. I have at least one more painting sitting in the software that look something like this and perhaps I will eventually get back to them when i gain better technical control of the brushes in the program.

Even though this looks more normal, I still consider it part of my alien landscape series because I certainly don’t recognize anything.

You’ll notice too that this is a more conventional painting on white. Everything is an experiment and my learning process
